NEACH Member Advocacy— NEACH U School of Accreditation

NEACH prioritizes member advocacy, supporting financial institutions and businesses in navigating payments rulemaking, compliance, and risk. Two ways NEACH does this are by representing its membership on national committees and rulemaking bodies and equipping its members for industry and organizational success and leadership through innovative educational opportunities. Among them is NEACH U’s School of Accreditation, which will be a key focus for NEACH at Nacha’s PAYMENTS 2024 Conference.

“We will be hosting an Accreditation Awareness Center at PAYMENTS, featuring sessions that offer a sneak peek into the School,” explained NEACH U’s Dean, Mark Dixon, CTP, AAP, APRP, NCP. “It will provide a glimpse into what AAP or APRP candidates at the School of Accreditation will learn.”

But NEACH U’s School of Accreditation is about so much more than these sessions can highlight.

“It’s about being able to help our members and all of the folks working at our member institutions to level up in their careers and demonstrate their commitment,” said Dixon. “Members can go through our School of Accreditation and get the tools and information they need to obtain one or multiple accreditations.”

According to Dixon, the School of Accreditation is a culmination of NEACH U’s programs, such as the School of Daily Operations, the School of Modernization, and the School of Compliance, among others. The School of Accreditation and all of NEACH U’s Schools stand out from past educational offerings because of their community focus.

“Participants in the School of Accreditation or our other Schools will have access to the Community Nest,” said Dixon. “The Community Nest is about further collaboration and communication for students with the NEACH faculty. It’s a forum where participants can post questions if they struggle with a concept or need extra support. It’s about creating a community of continuous learning.”

NEACH U is also preparing to launch an AI bot named Chirpy, a combination tutor and study guide that recommends additional resources to reinforce learning. Be on the lookout for more information about Chirpy at PAYMENTS and NEACH’s upcoming PMC Conference this May.

“Working toward accreditation through NEACH U’s School of Accreditation helps payments professionals position themselves as industry leaders,” said Dixon. “It helps the organization position itself for the future by staying on top of what’s developing, understanding the rules, compliance, risk factors, and innovations. It’s also a great way for individuals to position themselves for long-term success in their careers, whether that’s their current role or a future role they hope to obtain.”
