On November 2, 2018 NACHA approved nice amendments to the NACHA Operating Rules. These changes are broken out into three main categories: ACH Quality and Risk Management Topics, ACH Rules Compliance Audit Requirements and Minor Rule Changes.

On September 3, 2018 NACHA voting membership approved 3 amendments to Same Day ACH: Faster Funds Availability, Same Day Dollar Limit Increase and a new Same Day ACH Processing Window. These changes are spread out on the calendar with different effective dates.

The three new rules have different effective dates. The faster funds availability rule will become effective on Sept. 20, 2019; the increase in the per-transaction dollar limit will become effective on March 20, 2020; and the new Same Day ACH processing window with expanded hours will go into effect on Sept. 18, 2020.
