FMS' Kansas City Financial Center Assumes Primary Responsibility for Social Security Administration Cycle Payments

The Department of the Treasury’s Financial Management Service (FMS) will begin processing Social Security Administration (SSA) Cycle 2, 3, and 4 payments (dated the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of the month) at its Kansas City Financial Center beginning October 2012. Currently, SSA Cycle payments are issued under the Philadelphia Financial Center Disbursing Officer (DO) symbol 303 using legacy payment application format; effective with October payments, all SSA Cycle payments will be issued with the Kansas City DO Symbol (310) using the Payment Automation Manager (PAM) format. This change will become effective with Cycle 2 payments, dated Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
