NEACH Certification
NEACH offers a number of different opportunities where individuals may attain Certificates of Completion.
There are 5 different certificate programs available:
How do I participate?
Sign up for the certificate program you wish to take. NEACH will track your credits and issue a certificate when all requirements have been met. There is no fee for enrolling in the certification program.
Do previous courses count?
If you have taken a course after June 30, 2004 we will provide you with the appropriate credit(s) for that course. You must apply for credit(s) for previously taken courses. If the course was a teleseminar, your supervisor must fill out a course completion form provided by NEACH. Certificates completed in 2004 will automatically be converted to the ACH Fundamentals certificate and the Basic ACH Operations certificate.
How long do I have to complete the certificate?
You may take as long as necessary to complete the requirements to earn a certificate, however some courses may have to be retaken if the content significantly changes prior to completing the requirements for the certificate. NEACH recommends completing the certificate requirements within 18 months.
How does it work?
Candidates may earn certificates by taking required courses, elective courses and by successfully completing a case study. Candidates will receive one (1) credit for each teleseminar attended, two (2) credits for each workshop attended and three (3) credits if you attend the ACH Operations Super Day Conference held in the spring. Credits will then be applied to Certificates (credits earned for certain courses may be applied to more than one certificate - for example, the credit earned for taking the teleseminar "Walk Through the Rule Book" may be applied to the ACH Fundamentals and/or the Basic ACH Operations certificates). Once you have met the course requirements, NEACH will send you a case study to complete. The case study is a detailed scenario with several related questions. Once you have completed the case study questions and returned them to NEACH, your certificate will be issued.
